Trauma and PTSD

Trauma and Stressor-Related Disorders

Trauma and stressor-related disorders are a group of emotional and behavioral problems that may result from traumatic and stressful experiences.

These traumatic and stressful experiences can include exposure to physical or emotional violence or pain, including abuse, neglect or family conflict. Observing someone being treated violently, for example, can be a traumatic experience, as can being the victim of violence or abuse.

Stressors such as parental separation or divorce or even more severe stressors such as emotional or physical neglect can cause problems when they are prolonged or not addressed by caring adults. Even a move or the birth of a sibling can be a stressor that can cause significant difficulties for some.

Mental Health Shapes Every Part of Life

When your mind is overwhelmed, it affects everything: your energy, your relationships, even how you experience joy. At Impireum, we don’t just treat the symptoms. We take a step back and help you look at the bigger picture. What do you need to feel well again? What’s getting in your way? Together, we’ll work toward sustainable progress, starting with care that actually sees the full you.

We Use a 3-Step Process to Support Your Needs

Step 1

We begin with a compassionate and in-depth assessment to understand how trauma or chronic stress has impacted your emotions, behaviors, and daily life. This first step builds trust and allows us to identify what support, coping tools, and healing approaches will work best for you.

Step 2

Once we understand your triggers and symptoms, we design a treatment plan that meets you where you are. We focus on restoring emotional safety, strengthening coping strategies, and helping you process difficult memories in ways that feel manageable, respectful, and aligned with your healing pace.

Step 3

Trauma recovery isn’t linear. We provide regular check-ins to track progress, adjust your plan, and offer continued guidance. Whether you need more grounding tools or deeper therapeutic work, we stay with you, helping you move forward with resilience, self-compassion, and greater emotional control.

Please Note:

If services are not recommended you will be notified upfront and have no charge for consulting with the CTRS.
